- Estimate Pay : $50.00 to $54.40
W orking Hours : Work is typically scheduled from 8 : 00 a.m. to 5 : 00 p.m ., Monday through Friday. Position will be four (4) days remote with one (1) day (Wednesday and Friday) required to be onsite. While the schedule may need to be flexible, it will not exceed 40 hours per week or 1096 hours total. The contractor may be occasionally called upon for after-hours as needed.
Su mmary : The Systems Analyst III will provide leadership and develop and manage projects which promote IT Service Management principles and guide Infrastructure and Operations maturity using Service Management methods.
Mandatory Qualifications
At least 8 years Database management systems, workflows and data migration, with a strong emphasis on healthcare EHR systemsAt least 8 years Experience in Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, InterSystems Cache or similar database scripting, crucial for the efficient migration of data to new SaaS platforms. Also, skill in using EXCEL, Word, Visio, and other spreadsheet software.At least 8 years Business analysis, including reviewing, analyzing, and evaluating user requirements, operational procedures, and identifying solutions to automate processes or enhance system functionalityAt least 8 years Experience in EHR application domain, understand current system and create workflow analysis, developing workflows, design, programming, and support using software engineering practices.At least 8 years Experience in documenting process flows and standardizes existing and future process flow improvements by conducting data collection and meetings with the subject matter experts to gain full understanding of system usability and documenting the workflows.At least 8 years Preparing specifications for data input / output processes. Resolving complex data-related issues using robust analytical skills and logical problem-solving approaches.At least 8 years Exceptional oral and written communication skills, essential for producing clear project documentation and engaging effectively with stakeholdersAt least 8 years Ex In-depth knowledge of current IT industry trends and market insights, applying them strategically within the organization.At least 8 years Architectural concepts, principles, and tools relevant to infrastructure, information systems, applications, and organizational structure.Preferred Qualifications
At least 2 years Experience with Texas DIR Project Delivery Framework and document templatesAt least 2 years Familiarity with company's information architecture and information management methodologies and Knowledge of Agile Scrum MethodologyAt least 2 years Familiarity with the existing and planned software technology and the global, regional, and local software architecture and infrastructure componentsAt least 2 years Experience in regulatory compliance and data security related to healthcare dataAt least 2 years Prior experience with SaaS model EHR systems and cloud data migrations.Duties / Responsibilities Understands business objectives and problems, identifies alternative solutions, performs studies and cost / benefit analysis of alternatives. Analyzes user requirements, procedures, and problems to automate processing or to improve existing computer system : Confers with personnel of organizational units involved to analyze current operational procedures, identify problems, and learn specific input and output requirements, such as forms of data input, how data is to be; summarized, and formats for reports. Writes detailed description of user needs, program functions, and steps required to develop or modify computer program. Reviews computer system capabilities, specifications, and scheduling limitations to determine if requested program or program change is possible within existing system.
Lead the migration efforts of the current legacy system to a new modernized system at state support living centers. This includes :Comprehensive planningData assessment, cleansing, and mapping to ensure compatibility with the new systemDocumenting all phases of the migration processEngaging with clinical and IT stakeholders for requirements gatheringEnsuring clear communication throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (40%)Ensure design compliance with HHSC standards. This task also involves :Setting up validation and auditing processes to maintain data integrity post-migration (10%)Perform necessary testing of the migration process, including :Creating and executing unit test scriptsManaging test scenariosAnalyzing test resultsDebugging issuesUtilizing established software development and testing standards to ensure the reliability and functionality of the new SaaS solution (25%)Provide regular updates on the migration progress to all project stakeholders, including :Immediate managers, technical leads, developers, and business analystsUsing ticketing systems for information sharing and problem resolutionPreparing and delivering presentations and updates to both internal and external audiences to explain the migration process, system functionality, and technical challenges (15%)Facilitate the smooth transition to the new system by providing strategic oversight and support post-migration.
