Job Description Contract Instructional Designer
You will partner closely with Wealth Talent, Development, and Leadership team, HR Partners, business leaders and enterprise partners to understand where learning solutions or strategies can best support business outcomes and help to influence and shape the leader and associate experience.
The Expertise You Have
- Strong experience consulting and conducting the needs analysis and lead the design of learning solutions across critical skills and targeted role types employing innovating learning multi-modalities and technologies to transform the learner experience – including application, measurement, reinforcement and sustainment.
- Experience designing, developing, executing, and overseeing others doing similar work on your projects – all that will result in engaging learning experiences
- Ability to plan, organize, prioritize, and effectively manage multiple complex projects / programs concurrently within a fast-paced environment
- Partner with the broader Talent and HR teams to implement the learning initiatives into the organization through integrated planning and communications to illustrate how skill development is part of a broader Talent Strategy and ecosystem.
- Intermediate/Advanced experience using tools for visual and multimedia design
- 6 years of experience in instructional design, adult learning, user experience, or related field
- Excellent presentation, speaking and, communication (verbal and written) skills; ability to communicate and influence across the organization.

The Value You Deliver
- Collaborate and provide consulting to Wealth Talent, Development, and Leadership team, HR Partners, business leaders and enterprise partners to understand their strategic requirements and corresponding needs for learning experiences and solutions
- Work with business partners across Fidelity to identify new opportunities and deliver integrated experiences and solutions when applicable
- Lead the design and development of learner-centered, high-impact learning experiences through LXD practices
- Generate and pursue fresh perspectives, breakthrough ideas, and new paradigms to create value for the organization
- Build learner-centric experiences using applications such as dominKnow Flow, Storyline 360, or Rise 360
- Create engaging learning experiences, content, and visuals that make complex skills simple and easy to learn
- Research new technology and techniques and influence adoption across the team
- Offer technical, creative, and logistical recommendations, both within the team and externally to other stakeholders, on the design and production of learning experiences and content
- Apply accessibility standards to learning experience design.
The pay range for this position is between $70-$80/hr. Placement in the range will vary based on job responsibilities and scope, geographic location, candidate’s relevant experience, and other factors
