The Role
The Recommendation Engine Product team within Fidelity??s Personal Investing (PI) organization is seeking a Senior Java Engineer to advance Fidelity??s quest in up-to-the-moment customer personalization. In this role, you will apply a variety of cloud native and on-prem technologies to develop AI/ML driven solutions, passionate about the new lead generation platform for enterprise consumption. This position is a critical element to delivering Fidelity??s promise of crafting the best customer experiences in financial services.
The Expertise You Have
Bachelor??s Degree in a technology related field (e.g. Computer Science, etc.) required
Strong experience with Java and J2EE (5-7 years of experience)
Working knowledge of relational database
Event driven & stream data processing experience preferred
AWS SNS, AWS SQS, AWS Kinesis, AWS Kinesis Data Analytics experience preferred (or looking for a candidate who has solid experience with Java/J2EE that wants to learn AWS)
Kafka, Flink, Spark streaming experience preferred
The Skills You Bring
A passion for crafting and delivering software solutions using groundbreaking technologies and constantly looking to learn new cloud native technologies and bring them into production.
A good understanding of backend databases, both analytical and operational (RDBMS with NoSQL as a plus).
Experience in RESTful APIs and Python is a plus
Experience in cloud-based messaging technologies also a plus (SNS, SQS) as well as Lambda functions.
