Job Description: Position Description: Architects and designs cloud first data solutions. Utilizes data movement technologies like Extract, Load, Transform (ELT) and Extract, Transform, Load (ETL), Messaging/Streaming Technologies -- AWS SQS and Kinesis/Kafka, and Relational and NoSQL databases. Develops reusable Cloud patterns and components. Enables cloud migrations for product teams using Java and Python. Leverages cloud-based data technologies -- Snowflake and Axway MFT -- to enhance the old legacy mainframe systems. Primary Responsibilities: Architects, crafts and builds highly scalable data solutions. Architects and designs next generation data products and platforms. Evaluates, prototypes, and recommends emerging data technologies and platforms from open source or vendors. Explores new modern data architecture techniques and cloud data technologies. Develops data management standard methodologies such as data integration, data security, data warehousing, data analytics, metadata management and data quality. Architects modern data integration frameworks and highly scalable distributed systems using open source and emerging data architecture designs and patterns. Collaborates and partners with business domain leads, data scientists, product owners, enterprise architects and other functional leads to deliver world class data solutions. Architects and develops enterprise scale data solutions. Designs end to end data engineering solutions using a variety of data processing patterns. Authors and reviews data architecture artifacts, deliverables, and processes to meet the quality standards. Documents the yearly data strategy for certain product lines and keep it current with any change in guidelines. Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and six (6) years of experience as Director, Architecture (or closely related occupation) performing data architecture and application design using Cloud technologies in a financial services industry. Or, alternatively, Master’s degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and four (4) years of experience as Director, Architecture (or closely related occupation) performing data architecture and application design using Cloud technologies in a financial services industry. Skills and Knowledge: Candidate must also possess: Demonstrated Expertise (“DE”) migrating databases in a financial services industry using data modeling and architecture tools -- Visio and SAP Power, including assessment and planning, identifying redundancies and complementarities, and locating potential integration points; and configuring databases using Troux, ServiceNow and Planview. DE designing and building data warehouses and performing ETL development, using data warehousing ETL/ELT tools (Abinitio, Informatica and Streamsets), schedulers (Control M) and messaging/streaming technologies (Kafka and MFT); implementing data governance using data techniques including data discovery and classification, data catalog, data lineage, and data integration; and maintaining data quality using Collibra and Alation. DE performing data mapping and migration to minimize downtime and disruption in business continuity using Oracle Goldengate, Kafka, Python, Streamsets, Greenplum, Teradata and Oracle; and consolidating and enhancing reporting solutions using Tableau and Power BI. DE designing and building scalable and resilient software solutions according to DevOps practices using continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) tools -- Jenkins and GitHub, including prototyping and building infrastructure frameworks; and performing issue tracking following Agile methodologies using Jira. #PE1M2 #LI-DNI Certifications: Category: Information Technology Fidelity’s hybrid working model blends the best of both onsite and offsite work experiences.
