Bartender

Field Day Brewing Co., the first and only brewery in North Liberty, IA is looking for experienced full and part-time bartenders to join our team.

As a bartender at Field Day Brewing Co., you'll be responsible for serving craft beers, interacting with customers, and providing excellent service in a relaxed, friendly, and lively environment. You'll also have a chance to share your knowledge of beer styles, educate customers about the brewing process, and maintain a well-organized bar area.

What is Field Day Brewing Co.? Field Day Brewing Co. is the first and only brewing in North Liberty, IA, excited to reframe & disrupt the traditional view on breweries by bringing exciting opportunities paired with world-class beer. We brew everything from Hazy IPA’s → big and bold stouts → overly-fruited sours. While we don’t like pigeon-holing ourselves into one specific category, our 4 vessel, custom brewhouse and cereal cooker allows us to specialize in German and Czech lagers. IE: the light & crispy stuff that is super sessionable.

In addition to our amazingly brewed beverages, we offer a full-service menu carefully constructed and prepared on-site. A great place for our customers to unwind and enjoy a night out.

Pay: $4.35 per hour tips, tipped out nightly.

Schedule: Full and part-time openings, weekend availability is a must.

Job Responsibilities

• Give guests the greatest brewery experience of all time. Greet customers, take drink orders, and serve beer in a timely and friendly manner.
• Offer recommendations and educate customers on different beer styles, brewery offerings, and pairing suggestions.
• Properly pour beer and ensure the proper serving temperature for each beer style.
• Keep the bar clean, organized, and stocked with necessary supplies (glasses, napkins, straws, etc.).
• Process transactions through the POS, handle cash, and ensure accurate billing.
• ​​Clean and sanitize glassware, equipment, and the bar area regularly.
• Monitor beer inventory, assist with changing out kegs, and ensure taps are functioning properly.
• Engage with customers in a friendly and professional manner, contributing to a great social atmosphere.
• Monitor customers' alcohol consumption and intervene when necessary to ensure a safe environment.
• Assist guests with check-in and guide them on how to use our Duckpin Bowling systems.
• Familiarize yourself with our fantastic food menu and make suggestions for our guests.
• Work efficiently and with urgency; this is a large venue that requires coverage of extensive areas.
• Participate in Pre-Shift rallies

• Promote and encourage the purchase of merchandise and to-go cans.

Qualifications

• 18 years of age or older
• Must be able to lift up to 40lbs.
• Stand for long periods of time
• Prior experience as a bartender is preferred.
• Extensive knowledge of beer, cocktails, wine, and spirits, with a passion for craft beers.
• Exceptional communication and multitasking skills.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and presentation.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining composure and professionalism.
• Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
