What are the responsibilities and job description for the Research Assistant I position at Field Museum?
Our Mission: Since the 1893 World Columbian Exposition, our organization has aimed to connect people to the natural environment and human history.
The Research Assistant will help Dr. Mann collect and process data on early synapsids from the Field Museum of Natural History collections and throughout museum collections across North America and Europe.
The Research Assistant will assist in specimen photography, measurement and morphometric data collection, and fieldwork related to this area of research. RA will complete a small independent research project involving the description of a new gorgonopsian postcranial skeleton under the supervision of Dr. Mann.
Additionally, the Research Assistant will help with tasks related to various research projects in the lab.
Applicants are required to have an undergraduate degree, and an interest in Natural History, skills with photography and data collection is an asset.
Pay: $19.00/hourly
