The Need: You will play a pivotal role in the development of collaborative welding and cutting systems. This position offers a unique blend of technical design, engineering expertise, and customer interaction, presenting an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about leading-edge manufacturing solutions and ensuring customer success.
What youll do:
- Operate ERP, MRP, and PLM systems to streamline the design and development process.
- Utilize SolidWorks and other CAD software, in compliance with industry standards and customer needs.
- Update and create detailed Bills of Materials (BOMs) for systems for costing and manufacturing.
- Use (GD&T) for accurate design communications.
- Generate vector art and 3D rendering to support marketing and technical documentation.
- Offer technical assistance to the sales team with your mechanical or electrical expertise.
- Identify/understand customer needs, offering solutions to meet their specific manufacturing challenges.
Experience Needed:
- Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design with a solid background in manufacturing.
- Proficiency in SolidWorks, and CAD software, focusing on designing mechanical/electrical for manufacturing apps.
- Experienced in working with ERP, MRP, and PLM systems within a manufacturing engineering context.
- Knowledgeable in GD&T principles emphasizing precision engineering for manufacturing apps.
- Strong presentation and communication skills, capable of engaging both technical/non-technical audiences.
- A collaborative team player can work across departments to bring innovative products to market.
- Willingness to travel to trade shows and the infrequent customer visits is preferred but not required.
