Cashier (BoxOffice/Retail/Golf/Concessions)

Field Station: Dinosaurs is seeking team members to perform duties as a cashier and guest relations associate for the Box Office, Dino-Bites concessions stand, Water Wars, Jurassic Golf, and Tricera-Shops gift shop. This is the perfect opportunity for someone looking to pickup a few extra hours, someone working in education who has time off during holidays or as a first job.

Box Officers must maintain proper control of cash, have good math skills, knowledge of data entry, point of sale ticketing systems and general office skills. You'll be expected to provide effective sales transactions of our products, Family Memberships, concessions items, etc. and assisting in answering guest questions both in-person and on the phone.

As an employee, your day-to-day job duties and responsibilities might include:

• Greeting customers
• Answering customer questions related to merchandise and store policies
• Recommending products or services based on customer needs
• Processing customer payments and refunds through the use of a POS
• Occasional operation of our green screen photo printer
• Opening and closing of the box office/concessions stand/store in accordance with operating hours
• Stocking, organizing, and taking inventory of merchandise
• Keeping POS areas tidy
• Accurate cash counting and reconciliation for cash deposit
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with an emphasis on positive interaction is a must.

Some previous cashier or retail experience is preferred, but not required. In addition to previous job experience, these qualities and skills can help set you apart from other job seekers:

Typically this position will have an extended chance for hours over the summer (15-30) and less in the Spring/Fall (10-18). Additional hours in during our closed months may be available due to need and we always prefer to bring back employees from previous year when returning in Spring after winter closure.
