Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Low Voltage Technician to join our team in either of these locations as well Boston MD. In this role, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of low voltage systems, including cabling for telecommunications, fire alarms, surveillance systems, and security systems. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of electronic systems and schematics, along with hands-on experience in the field.
Duties
- Install and configure low voltage cabling systems for telecommunications and data networks.
- Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on fire alarm and surveillance systems.
- Troubleshoot and repair issues with low voltage equipment and systems to ensure optimal performance.
- Read and interpret schematics to effectively install and service various low voltage systems.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and provide exceptional field service support.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, including service reports and system documentation.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations while working on-site.
Skills
- Proficiency in using hand tools related to low voltage installation and repair.
- Knowledge of telecommunication systems and their components.
- Experience in field service roles, providing on-site technical support.
- Familiarity with cabling techniques for low voltage applications.
- Understanding of fire alarm systems, including installation and troubleshooting procedures.
- Experience with surveillance system installations and maintenance.
