Job Overview:
As a Controller, you will play a vital role in managing the financial operations of our company. The Controller will be primarily responsible for managing the company financial system. This includes hands-on accounting tasks, overseeing and maintaining the timekeeping and purchasing system, managing government contracts, and guiding the financial audits. In addition, the Controller will help with financial projections and identifying ways to improve financial efficiency and is responsible for meeting financial regulations. They will interact with senior managers and provide comprehensive financial updates. Attention to detail, accuracy, and strong analytical skills are crucial for this position.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage the financial operations of the company
- Develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and controls
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, reports, and budgets
- Conduct regular account reconciliations to ensure accuracy
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
- Perform account analysis to identify trends and variances
- Ensure compliance with governmental accounting regulations
- Utilize accounting software to maintain financial records
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (or related field)
- Proven experience as a Controller or similar role
- Strong knowledge of financial management principles and practices
- Proficiency in account reconciliation and analysis
- Familiarity with governmental accounting regulations
- Experience with accounting software
