Position Overview
As an Accountant/Bookkeeper, you'll play a critical role in maintaining the financial health of Feldman Fitness LLC. You'll manage day-to-day accounting tasks, including bookkeeping, invoicing, payroll, and financial reporting. This remote role is perfect for someone who is detail-oriented, organized, and has a strong understanding of accounting principles. This is a remote position for US Residents.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day bookkeeping tasks, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations.
- Prepare and issue invoices to clients, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery.
- Process payroll and ensure compliance with tax regulations and labor laws.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records using accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero).
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
- Monitor cash flow and manage expenses to ensure financial stability.
- Reconcile credit card transactions and expense reports.
- Assist with tax preparation and filing, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Provide support during audits and financial reviews.
Qualifications
- High school diploma required; associate's or bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
- 2 years of experience in accounting or bookkeeping.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word).
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in handling financial data.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a remote environment.
