Job Responsibilities
- Count items in incoming and outgoing shipments to verify information against bills of lading, invoices, orders and other records.
- Determine method of shipment, utilizing knowledge of shipping procedures, routs, and rates.
- Affix shipping labels on packed cartons
- Insert items into containers, using spacers, fillers and protective padding
- Stamp and write identifying information and shipping instruction onto crates or container
- Post weights and shipping charges, and affix postage
- Unpack and examine incoming shipments, reject damages items record shortages, and correspond with shipper to rectify damages and shortages
- Ensure the outgoing shipments meet specification
- Maintain inventory of shipping materials and supplies
- Treat customer sin accordance with dealership policies
- Write legible and record all information accurately
- Keep Parts Manager informed of all problems and stock requirements
- Place pars into stock or customers bins quickly and accurately
- Notify other departments in dealership when their parts arrive
- Attend any parts schools as requested
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Knowledge of dealerships computer systems
- Background and MVR Check required
