Fieldstone at Chester Springs, the area's newest senior living community that opened in September 2024, is seeking compassionate individuals who are passionate about enhancing the lives of seniors. This is a great opportunity to be part of the team that welcomes the community's first residents.
As the Assistant Director of Nursing, you will be responsible for providing hands-on care, physical and emotional support to each resident while maintaining a safe and comfortable home-like environment. This position is responsible for the nursing team and quality of patient service in the absence of the Director of Nursing.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Helps to hire, train, teach, and monitor nurses.
- Manages clinical operations and develops care plans.
- Prepares the daily schedule and planning shifts.
- Ensures nursing staff follows departmental procedures and policies.
- Assists in budget preparation and expense management.
- Conducts patient rounds and addresses complaints.
- Evaluates the performance of the department and recommends improvements.
- Schedules staff meetings for patient updates, issues, and recommendations.
- Ensures compliance with state, federal, and local standards.
- Keeps patient and employee records updated and accurate.
- Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
Supervisory Responsibilities
Assists the Director of Nursing in the supervision of LPNs, CNAs, and Resident Assistants to ensure the delivery of consistently high-quality care to residents. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in the absence of the Director of Nursing and in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree (BA) from a four-year college or university, or one to two years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Registered Nursing license.
- Experience in Nursing.
- Good critical thinking, communication, and leadership skills.
- Good planning and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of computers and healthcare software.
- Ability to work under stressful conditions.
