Fieldstone at Chester Springs – the area’s newest senior living community that opened September 2024 - is seeking compassionate individuals who are passionate about enhancing the lives of seniors. This is a great opportunity to be part of the team that welcomes the community’s first residents.
As Resident Assistant, you will be responsible for providing hands on care, physical and emotional support to each resident while maintaining a safe and comfortable home like environment.

General day to day responsibilities will include…
- Being responsible for a designated group of residents during the shift; knowing where their residents are and physically checking on them throughout the shift.
- Observing reports and documenting symptoms and conditions of residents for change in condition such as skin, behavior, alertness, weight, dietary and participation in activities.
- Responding to security system and resident’s call bells promptly.
- Notifying the supervisor and / or Health Care Coordinator if a resident has increased care needs.
- Assisting with continence management and disposing of all continence products properly to ensure sanitation of resident suite and community restrooms.
- Serving and collecting food trays and assisting as needed, reports refusal of meals or loss of appetite.
- Maintaining cleanliness of resident’s room and work areas.
- Practicing good standard care precautions of cleanliness, hygiene, and health.
- Helping residents maintain independence promotes dignity and physical safety of each resident.
- Actively participating / leading and assisting residents with activities of daily living (i.e. bathing, dressing, toileting, grooming, ambulation, transferring, eating) as instructed.
- Engaging residents in life skills and other life enrichment activities.
- Greeting and assisting all internal and external customers, guests, family members, residents, vendors and team members.
- Resident Assistant is also required to gather residents and implement activities.
- Doing resident’s laundry as assigned and needed.
- Other duties as assigned by the Supervisor.
The right candidate should be a professional who enjoys working with the senior population. They will
demonstrate maintaining good judgment, problem solving and decision-making skills. This position requires interactions with guests, residents and staff in a courteous and friendly manner.
