Sewing Machine Operators
Fieldtex Products, Inc. is a nationally recognized Manufacturer of custom sewn goods. We are currently looking to hire motivated Seamstresses to work in our fast paced growing factory. We have 125 seamstresses that manufacture a variety of vests, backpacks and carrying cases for the military and medical markets.
**We offer a two-three week paid training program for those individuals that would be willing to learn.**
Responsibilities:
- Operate and maintain sewing machines and related parts, i.e. needles, presser feet, automatic cutting tools and blades.
- Assembling and sewing of carrying cases and holsters.
- Prep-work including, but not limited to: check material, loading machines.
- Maintain clean and orderly work space throughout and at the end of each day.
- Troubleshoot basic machinery problems and request service or repairs as needed.
- Work closely with group leader to ensure quality control.
Qualifications:
- 1 years industrial sewing experience is ideal.
- Must have high attention to detail and craftsmanship.
- Willing to assist with other functions, as needed.
- Ability to work independently and change projects frequently.
- Eager to learn and increase skills and quality of work.
- Works well under pressure to meet deadlines.
- Flexibility to work occasional weekend hours, based on needs of the business.
For those individuals with limited experience sewing. Fieldtex has an in-house training program that can prepare individuals for this job.
Our hours are Monday-Friday 7-3:30
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $15.50 per hour
