You will be responsible for understanding customer needs, providing accurate service recommendations, and ensuring a smooth service experience from start to finish. Your expertise in automotive repair will help guide customers through their service options while fostering strong relationships.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers promptly and professionally, assessing their automotive service needs.
- Communicate effectively with customers regarding vehicle issues and recommended services.
- Prepare detailed service estimates and explain the scope of work to customers.
- Coordinate with service technicians to ensure timely completion of repairs and maintenance.
- Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, service history, and follow-up actions.
- Handle customer inquiries and concerns with empathy and professionalism.
- Stay updated on automotive repair trends, products, and services to provide informed recommendations.
- Promote additional services such as oil changes, brake repairs, alignments, and air brake inspections.
- Assist in managing the workflow within the service department to enhance efficiency.
Experience
- Previous experience in automotive repair or service writing is preferred.
- Familiarity with auto body repair processes is a plus.
- Knowledge of various automotive systems including suspension, brakes, and engine components.
- Strong communication skills with an emphasis on customer service excellence.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while managing multiple tasks efficiently.
