In this role, you will act as the primary point of contact for customers seeking automotive repair and maintenance services. You will be responsible for understanding customer needs, providing accurate service recommendations, and ensuring a smooth service experience from start to finish. Your expertise in automotive repair will help guide customers through their service options while fostering strong relationships.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers promptly and professionally, assessing their automotive service needs.
- Communicate effectively with customers regarding vehicle issues and recommended services.
- Prepare detailed service estimates and explain the scope of work to customers.
- Coordinate with service technicians to ensure timely completion of repairs and maintenance.
- Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, service history, and follow-up actions.
- Handle customer inquiries and concerns with empathy and professionalism.
- Stay updated on automotive repair trends, products, and services to provide informed recommendations.
- Promote additional services such as oil changes, brake repairs, alignments, and air brake inspections.
- Assist in managing the workflow within the service department to enhance efficiency.
Experience
- Previous experience in automotive repair or service writing is preferred.
- Familiarity with auto body repair processes is a plus.
- Knowledge of various automotive systems including suspension, brakes, and engine components.
- Strong communication skills with an emphasis on customer service excellence.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while managing multiple tasks efficiently.
