JOB BRIEF
Courtesy Booth Clerks are responsible for all the services (check transmittals, utility bills, western union, etc.) offered by the Courtesy Booth and the processes used to deliver these services to the customer. Primary responsibility is to establish positive relationships with customers while providing excellent customer service.
JOB DUTIES
- Communicate with customers and co-workers on services available at the courtesy booth. Professionally deal with multiple customers and difficult situations. Identify customers needing assistance and respond directly or inform the appropriate person to assist or resolve conflicts.
- Complete and balance cash and sales reports daily (example: safe accountability, booth count, store report). Sell and generate money orders and various tickets using the money order machine and the Ticket master computer. Effectively complete all audit paperwork. Issue, collect, verify and balance cash trays from cashiers at beginning and end of shifts. Prepare bank deposits and record all data appropriately.
- Practice proper cash handling procedures including verifying change orders, and recording payments and deposits properly.
- Follow all policies and procedures designed to protect the company’s assets at all times. Follow all Fiesta procedures concerning MSB, cash transfers, Western Union, check cashing, etc. Consistently follow efficiency procedures and adhere to established processes,including security procedures that involve key control, password security, etc.
- Complete Opening, Crunch and Closing procedures as directed. Perform multiple tasks simultaneously (example: answer the phone while counting cash). Handle the speed and pressure in response to the demands of the job.
- Notify manager of any situations that need attention such as shortages, customer complaints, or requests.
- Maintain a clean, safe work and shopping area.
Secondary Job Duties:
- Resolve customer complaints to the full satisfaction of the customer.
- Minimize expense control by efficient use of all office and front-end supplies.
- Present favorable impression in dress, personal hygiene and business attitude.
- Notify management of associate theft, customer shoplifting, unauthorized mark downs or property defacement.
- Other duties assigned by management.
QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Knows basic mathematics.
- Be able to pass credit and criminal backgrounds checks
- Customer service and cash handling experience preferred.
