We are seeking a motivated and skilled data and BI manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will thrive in a dynamic environment, possess the ability to work independently, and be confident engaging with business stakeholders. This role involves end-to-end responsibility for delivering business intelligence solutions, maintaining feasible deadlines, and aligning efforts with the main team located abroad.
THE POSITION
The main responsibilities and oversights of the rate card manager for the FIFA World Cup 26™ include:
- BI Development: Design, develop, and maintain BI solutions, including dashboards, reports, and data models, to support decision-making processes.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Act as a point of contact for the business, gathering requirements, providing insights, and ensuring their needs are met effectively.
- Data Analysis: Analyze business data to identify trends, insights, and opportunities for growth or optimization.
- Deadline Management: Create realistic project plans and ensure on-time delivery of BI solutions while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Team Reporting: Communicate progress, challenges, and key findings to the main team abroad, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
- System Maintenance: Monitor and troubleshoot BI tools and systems to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
- Documentation: Maintain thorough documentation of processes, solutions, and updates to ensure knowledge sharing and continuity.
Education & Qualifications
- University degree or similar higher education, in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field.
- A minimum experience of 8 years overall IT experience and minimum of 6 years of experience in a similar role
- Experience in the Sports / major event industry as a plus
- Proven track record of successful delivery of complex data Projects
- Proficiency in working with cloud-based data platforms, such as Snowflake or similar providers.
- Strong proficiency in SQL and experience in data modeling to design and optimize data structures for BI solutions.
- Bonus: Familiarity with dbt (data build tool) for data transformation and pipeline automation.
- Ability to thrive and perform effectively in stressful or high-pressure environments, maintaining focus and delivering quality results.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to confidently interface with business stakeholders.
- Analytical mindset with attention to detail and a passion for problem-solving.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and remote collaboration tools is a plus.
- Fluent in English
- Spanish and/or French proficiency is a plus
- Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio & Project) and planning software and online collaboration tools
- Github and CI/CD processes
- Snowflake or similar
