Reporting organisationally to the Senior International Broadcast Centre Manager, the Coordinator, International Broadcast Centre will be a key member of the FIFA26 Host Broadcast Production team, and work in close collaboration with the Director of Broadcast Production and other key individuals responsible for delivering support and services for the International Broadcast Centre during FIFA World Cup 2026.
THE POSITION
The main responsibilities and oversights of the Coordinator, International Broadcast Centre for the FIFA World Cup 26™ include:
- Operational Support and Coordination: Provide administrative support to the Senior Manager, IBC in overseeing venue operations and ensuring a seamless environment for media partners and FIFA functional areas. Coordinate with various functional departments within the IBC, including technical operations, broadcast, logistics, and media services, to ensure all activities are integrated efficiently.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Facilitate communication between the Senior Manager, IBC, and key partners to align expectations and ensure continuous collaboration. Act as a liaison between media members and the Senior Manager, ensuring issues are resolved promptly and effectively.
- Media Services Coordination: Monitor media member needs and respond proactively to address any issues or concerns during the event.
- Facility Management: Support logistics team efforts and operational plans to ensure the effective movement of equipment, resources, and personnel throughout the IBC.
- Documentation and Reporting: Assist in compiling daily operational reports, tracking progress and ensuring adherence to event timelines.
- Collaboration and Teamwork: Collaborate with the Senior Manager, IBC, and other functional areas to support the successful execution of all operations. Foster a collaborative, team-oriented environment, ensuring alignment and synergy across departments.
- Bachelors degree in event management, sports management, media studies, communications, broadcasting, or a related field preferred.
- Candidates with specialized training or certifications in broadcast operations, event logistics, or project management.
- Strong familiarity with large-scale event operations and stakeholder coordination is preferred.
- Experience working with international sports organizations, broadcasters, or media agencies is highly valued.
- For the Coordinator, International Broadcast Centre (IBC) role, the ideal candidate should have 3 to 5 years of relevant experience working in international sporting events, major media productions, or large scale conferences.
- Knowledge of venue operations, facility setup, and logistics planning for high-profile events.
- Knowledge of broadcast technology, media rights, and production workflows is an advantage.
- Strong customer service experience dealing with VIPs, media personnel, or event partners.
- Fluent in English. Spanish and/or French proficiency is a plus
- Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio & Project) and planning software and online collaboration tools
