JOB SUMMARYThe Industrial Electrician will be responsible for troubleshooting, repair, and preventative maintenance of all electrical systems within the brewery.STATUS : Full TimeSHIFT : Off-shift (afternoons / overnights); weekends and OT as neededJOB TYPE : UnionLOCATION : Rochester, NYDEPARTMENT : MaintenanceESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIESEnsure the safety of all electrical systems within the breweryBrewery-wide electrical support for all areasWork on AC and DC, single and multiple phase circuitsWork in coordination with engineers and other technicians when working with devices and circuitsPerform cabling work for electronic equipment, computers, and telecommunications equipmentRepair or replace wires, cables or other fixtures using hand tools or electronic toolsConnect wires to transformers and other componentsPlan and generate the layout of electrical installations and wiringPossesses and utilizes working knowledge of our single line diagram and physical locations of sub-stationsInstallation, removal, repair, and adjustment of pneumatic and electrical instruments / actuatorsObserves automation in operation and troubleshoot to locate root cause of troubleInstall, service, and maintain power circuits; including synchronization of their operationInitiate purchase orders for required partsSupport predictive and preventative maintenance initiativesActively exhibit a commitment to support a diverse and inclusive work environmentOther duties as assignedEDUCATION, SKILLS & EXPERIENCEAssociate’s Degree in Electrical Engineering; Electrical Maintenance & Construction; or related field - preferred5 years of industrial electrician experienceWill consider an Electrical Apprentice programOTHER ATTRIBUTESStrong written and verbal communication skillsKnowledge and experience with industrial electrical and controls systemsAbility to troubleshoot, program, and debug AB & Siemens PLCs, HMIs, relay-based circuits and networkingAbility to troubleshoot, replace, and program VFDsAbility to work independentlyAbility to work in indoor and outdoor settings as well as within manufacturing, warehouse, and office environmentsPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONSMust be able to frequently walk, climb stairs / ladders, kneel in place, as well as crawl, stand, walk, and crouch under conveyorsMust be able to lift up to 50 lbs.Must be able to work indoors in a factory, outdoors on property, bench work in a maintenance shop, in noisy and humid temperatures as well as in cool, damp cellars.Must be able to work in confined spacesPERKSGenerous Benefits with options to fit your lifeBlue4U DiscountsRetirement Options with employer contributions10 paid holidays per yearGainsharing BonusesUnion SupportTools and tool replacement optionsCulture of pride and community involvementAnd of course, beer!Pay Rate : $39.43 / hr - $41.38 / hr depending on qualifications and experience.The referenced pay range represents step pay rates for this job, as set forth in the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
