Job Description
From date of hire, there is a one hundred eighty-day (180) introductory period for all new hires. Excellent attendance is required with schedule flexibility determined by business needs. During these 180 days, Fifth Avenue Restaurant Group will evaluate your performance to determine any areas of improvements, additional training or if employment dismissal is necessary.

From date of hire, there is a one hundred eighty-day (180) introductory period for all new hires. Excellent attendance is required with schedule flexibility determined by business needs. During these 180 days, Fifth Avenue Restaurant Group will evaluate your performance to determine any areas of improvements, additional training or if employment dismissal is necessary.
Essential Job Functions. Duties include but are not limited to:
- Be in proper dress (wear nametag, etc.) and a professional appearance at all times.
- Be on time all the time. Your attendance is essential. Follow all CALL IN procedures if you will be absent.
- Obtain service area assignments at the beginning of each shift.
- Promptly great guests as they are seated and bring water to table.
- Reset tables in a speedy professional and effective manner as guests leave the restaurant. Take tableware to dish room and place silverware, dishes, glassware, etc. in appropriate areas for washing.
- Between settings promptly clean table tops, chairs and booths. Check floor and clean as required. Reset and arrange tabletop. Bussers are responsible for the grooming of the entire restaurant and its perimeters.
- Respond appropriately to guest requests. Communicate guest requests to servers immediately.
- Assist servers as needed with food delivery, especially with large parties and during peak periods. Support servers and service staff with refills and clearing tables.
- Thank guests as they are leaving- Superior Guest Service skills.
- Show flexibility in terms of your schedule to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the restaurant as directed by the restaurant manager or immediate supervisor.
- Be a team player; Help out fellow team members when possible.
- Other duties as assigned.
