GENERAL FUNCTION :
Provide primary and secondary market liquidity to assigned market sector to assist in achieving departmental fee income goals.
Responsible and accountable for risk by openly exchanging ideas and opinions, elevating concerns, and personally following policies and procedures as defined.
Accountable for always doing the right thing for customers and colleagues, and ensure that actions and behaviors drive a positive customer experience while operating within the firm's risk appetite. Achieve results by consistently identifying, assessing, managing, monitoring, and reporting risks of all types.
ESSENTIAL DUTIESAND RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Trade fixed income securities in support of Institutional and Retail Sales representatives
- Provide revenue-generating ideas to sales representatives
- Accurately process trades on clearing systems in a manner consistent with both FTS compliance and industry standards
- Effectively communicate with : sales, middle office, operations, risk management, compliance, internal business partners, external clients, et al
- Balance, reconcile and manage inventory positions maintained within department policy limits
- File appropriate regulatory reports on timely basis
- Provide product training to Institutional and Retail sales executives through formal training sessions and informal daily communication
- Gain awareness around relevant news / market events / regulatory changes that may impact pricing, hedging, risk strategies, etc
