What are the responsibilities and job description for the Landscape Installation Crew Lead position at Figgins Trees & Turf, Inc?
Landscape crew leads help complete landscape and hardscape projects. They operate heavier equipment such as skid loaders, mini skids, and mini excavators. They are expected to understand how to read drawings and specifications and to compete the job to those standards. All hardscape projects are done to the correct standards set by both the company and by suppliers. Strong basic math skills will be used almost daily. Hardscape projects that are expected to be competed include, but are not limited to patios, walkways, retaining walls, decorative walls, water features, natural stone features, and some landscape lighting. Landscape projects include but are not limited to planting trees, bushes/shrubs and other small plants. They are to take care when handling the plants and install them using methods and techniques as taught according to company standards. They should have some plant knowledge in terms of care and plant ID. They are responsible for making sure the result is achieved to the standards set by the client and company and making any small adjustments requested by the crew manager. They are also responsible for interacting with clients in a respectful, professional, and patient way. They are also responsible for assisting in the training of crew members to ensure that they are performing at an acceptable level. Basic knowledge of light and heavy equipment is also needed on the job. They are responsible for making sure they stay busy and working in the most productive way possible. They are to keep in contact with the crew manager to relay any issues, concerns or other information that is necessary. They are also responsible for driving to and from job sites in a safe and responsible manner. They are responsible for having and maintaining a clean driving record and having a valid driver’s license. They are also required to keep all trucks, trailers and equipment looking clean and neat in appearance and make sure the interior of trucks and trailers are clean and organized.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00 - $28.00 per hour
Expected hours: 38 – 42 per week
