As Head of Corporate Development at Figment, you will play a pivotal role in securing working capital debt financing, developing strong relationships with bankers and investors, and driving strategic fundraising efforts. Your focus will be on capital raising, financial structuring, and securing JV partnerships to scale Figment’s boutique hospitality real estate business.
Key Responsibilities
Secure working capital debt financing with a focus on HNWI / UHNWI investors and financial institutions.
Develop and execute outbound fundraising strategies .
Prepare and refine fundraising materials , including pitch decks, financial models, and investor presentations.
Manage end-to-end fundraising processes , from lead generation to negotiations and closing.
Identify and source debt investors , institutional lenders, and alternative financing partners.
Banker & Investor Relationship Management (20%)
Build and maintain strong relationships with banks, debt funds, and family offices to unlock financing opportunities.
Develop and manage an active pipeline of banking and lending partners .
Negotiate loan terms and financing structures to maximize returns and minimize risk.
Lead Generation & Prospecting (10%)
Download, scrape, and curate lead lists to identify high-value HNWI / UHNWI lenders .
Conduct outbound cold outreach campaigns to targeted financiers and investors.
Develop and maintain a CRM database of active investor prospects.
Negotiation & Deal Execution (10%)
Lead negotiations with debt investors and lenders , ensuring optimal financing terms.
Collaborate with legal, finance, and investment teams to structure JV partnerships and debt transactions .
Oversee due diligence, documentation, and deal closing processes.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
Amount Raised for Working Capital Debt Financing
Performance is measured based on actual funds secured vs. target .
Banker Relationship Management
Number of active banking / lender relationships maintained.
Number of new relationships established per quarter .
Frequency and quality of engagements with financial institutions .
Number of qualified leads sourced per quarter .
Success rate of cold outreach campaigns .
Number of meetings secured with lenders / investors .
Deal Closing & Negotiation Effectiveness
Percentage of deals closed vs. initiated .
Average debt financing terms secured (e.g., interest rates, LTV, covenants).
Speed and efficiency of deal execution .
Qualifications & Skills
5 years experience in corporate banking, private banking or retail banking, corporate development, investment banking, or real estate finance.
Proven track record in raising debt financing from banks, HNWI, and institutional lenders.
Strong financial modeling, negotiation, and deal structuring skills .
Experience in fundraising strategy, investor outreach, and relationship management .
Proficiency in CRM tools, and other prospecting platforms .
Ability to lead end-to-end fundraising efforts , from sourcing to deal closure.
Strong communication and presentation skills.
Knowledge of real estate finance, debt markets, and private equity structures is a plus.
