We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Day Porter Janitor to maintain the cleanliness and upkeep of our facility during operating hours. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for employees, visitors, and customers. This role involves routine cleaning and responding promptly to cleaning needs throughout the day.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform general cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, and sanitizing surfaces.
- Maintain cleanliness in high-traffic areas, including lobbies, restrooms, and common areas.
- Monitor and restock restroom supplies (toilet paper, soap, paper towels, etc.).
- Empty trash receptacles and replace liners as needed.
- Respond promptly to spills, messes, or other urgent cleaning needs.
- Assist with setting up and breaking down rooms for meetings or events as required.
- Ensure all cleaning equipment and supplies are properly stored and maintained.
- Follow safety protocols and company procedures to ensure a safe work environment.
- At least 2 years previous janitorial or cleaning experience is required.
- Ability to work independently and take initiative in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow cleaning procedures.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, and perform repetitive motions.
- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and safety guidelines
- Full-time, 8 hours per day, Monday to Friday
- Typically, a daytime schedule with flexibility required for special events or cleaning emergencies.
- Competitive hourly wage based on experience (range between U$21- U$23 per hour depending on experience)
