Job Summary
The Art Director helps to oversee the creation of the overall visual style and user experience for both internal and external facing assets. Working with the client (the requestor) and the Creative Director, they develop concepts for digital and print media, video, and events assets such as tradeshow booths.

Responsibilities

• Determine how best to represent a concept visually
• Determine which photographs, art, or other design elements to use
• Develop the overall look or style of a project
• Review and approve designs, artwork, photography, and graphics developed by other staff members
• Work with Creative Director to develop an artistic approach and style
• Be mindful of and work within budgets and timelines
• Present designs to clients for approval
  
  
  
  
  

Qualifications

• 5 years of experience in a design-related field
• Experience directing and overseeing other creatives, freelancers, and writers
• Knowledge in and experience with graphic design, motion graphics, animation, video, and creative writing
• Highly proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop)
• Experience with Sketch, InVision, and/or equivalent tools a plus
• Comfortable collaborating on projects with a variety of personalities
• Creative thinker and problem solver
• Self-motivated, disciplined, and able to effectively manage the workload with minimal supervision
