Job Title: Material Handler

Department: Operations

Reports To: LOPL

Status: Non- Exempt

Position Summary

They are action oriented, able to multi-task and able to identify opportunities for continuous improvement in the material handling of all products in the facility.

Essential Functions and Basic Duties

Job Duties:

· Performs storage, distribution, and transportation of both raw material and finished goods, which may include packing and unpacking

• Properly stocks raw or finished goods in a Kanban and pull system environment
• Uses or operates a computer, scanner, and printer in a SAP computer system to ensure inventory counts are accurate

· Works well with others in a team environment

• Comply with all 5S housekeeping procedures, quality standards, and safety regulations
• May perform assembly work as needed
• Properly stocks raw or finished goods

Education/Certification

· High School Diploma or Equivalent

Experience Required

· Experience in a manufacturing or production environment preferred.

· Basic math skills.

• Knowledge of Kanban and MRS pull systems
• Ability to read and understand BOM’s
• Can understand and follow both verbal and written standard work instructions

· Experience with a computer, scanner, and printer in a SAP computer system is preferred

Physical Activities and Requirements of this Position

· Manufacturing environment - temperature ranges from 70 to 95 degrees

· May be exposed to diesel fuel, mineral spirits, glue, paint, adhesives, and sealant fumes

· Frequently lifts 15 pounds and may lift and place 45 pounds every two minutes and 70 pounds occasionally throughout a day.

· Able to stand, bend, stoop, push, pull, and lift on a regular basis

· Ability to maneuver in, around, under, and about factory machinery on a regular basis

· Good visual acuity

· Manual dexterity

· Majority of work time is spent standing, walking, lifting, and bending

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.16 per hour
