ABOUT THE POSITION

Reporting to the Plant Manager, the Materials Specialist is responsible for ensuring all materials needed on site are efficiently maintained & meet stated standards.

Responsibilities

• Materials management into location
• Check for quality assurance on materials and submit quality reports
• Pack and organize materials for manufacturing floor
• Track materials requests and make recommendations to leadership based on business needs
• Perform Physical Inventory checks as needed
• Confirm and update correct inventory
• Work with internal and external partners for materials in facility
• Daily site checks to maintain a well-organized area
• Update Production / Repairs / Maintenance area safety logs
• Follow safe practices related to the use and operation of equipment
• Other duties as assigned
  
  

Qualifications:

• Must be 18 years old
• Experience in luggage/garment manufacturing preferred
• Ability to operate material handling equipment such as pallet jack with training.
• Experience using a PC
• Basic math skills
• Detail oriented
• Safety oriented
• Ability to follow instructions, be a team player, and have a willingness to learn new things
• Ability to communicate and understand English -- Multi-Lingual in Cantonese, Vietnamese or Mandarin a plus

Salary range:

$27—$33 USD
