Job Summary: 

Filterbuy, a leader in the air quality and manufacturing world, is seeking an Area Lead. The Area Leads purpose is to oversee the Laminating and Pleating area.  This leader will assist their team to become more efficient in learning acceptable and fast techniques of creating great material, how to use Filterbuy machines safely, and how to clean Laminator and Pleating machines safely. 

This role will report to the Production Supervisor in Ogden, UT. Monday through Thursday, 10 hours shifts.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Responsible for smooth operation of their assigned area.
• Encourage all team members to be in position on time and ready for duty. 
• Read and comprehend instructions and follow established procedures.
• Adhere to all company policies and procedures. Must set a good example to their peers.
• Inspect material using appropriate methods, such as comparing to standards and examining functionality to ensure the highest quality.
• Instructs employee on how to verify specifications are met as work is being done.
• Fill in for assigned team members when needed (e.g. in restroom, covering breaks and lunch, etc.).
• Teaches team members how to resolve problems by making needed adjustments or notifying supervisors to obtain additional resources.
• On the job instruction to show how to maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
• Motivate team members to meet production deadlines and goals.
• Show by example to conserve resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results.
• Oversee media, wire, and glue to ensure it is always well stocked. 
• Oversee document completion and quality verifications.
• Contribute to team efforts by accomplishing related results as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Motivate team members to meet production deadlines and goals.

Requirements

Required skills and qualifications: 

• A minimum of 1 years’ experience in a leadership role.
• 2 years manufacturing experience.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Manual dexterity and great attention to detail
• Good understanding of quality control principles.
• Excellent time-management skills.
• Willing to perform repetitive tasks for extended periods. 
• Must have the ability to promote positivity.
• Detail oriented.
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills. 
• Ability to read and write in English.
• Ability to follow instructions. 
• Must have excellent attendance by scheduling days off in advance and arriving at work on time.
• Work independently with little guidance.
• Ability to operate computers and relevant warehouse management computer software.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new processes and procedures.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including overtime and weekends and be reliable.
• Adherence to health and safety regulations (e.g. constant use of protective gear)
• Ability to understand basic math, counting, and measuring skills.

Preferred:

• High school diploma or equivalent. 
• Bi-lingual Spanish preferred 

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods working on feet (10-hr shifts) and performing repetitive actions that entail frequent bending, walking, lifting, stepping, pulling, pushing, and climbing up/down a ladder.
• Lift 80 pounds alone and occasionally lift heavier items with assistance.
• The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Subject to moderate amounts of noise and vibration from filter making machines.  
• May be subjected to a variety of weather conditions; however, much of the work will be performed inside.
