Position: Logistics Supervisor

Duration: Full-Time, Permanent
Salary: $50k-80k (based with experience)
Filterbuy, a leader in the air quality and manufacturing world, is seeking a Logistics Supervisor who will be responsible for overseeing the flow of materials within the manufacturing facility as well as the coordination of finished goods distribution to customers. This role ensures that both raw materials and finished products are efficiently managed, stored, and transported to meet production and customer demand while optimizing costs and minimizing delays. This position will report to the Manager at our Talladega location Monday through Friday.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Overseeing the loading and shipping of outbound material
- Supervising warehouse personnel, assigning workloads and evaluating performance
- Ensure compliance to all relevant regulations regarding shipping and safety standards (Experience in DOT regulations a plus)
- Identifying cost savings measures, like negotiating better carrier rates
- Troubleshooting logistical issues, resolving any discrepancies and addressing delivery delays immediately
- Manage all local drivers, experience with planning driver routes
- Develop and execute distribution strategies to ensure timely and accurate delivery of finished goods to customers, warehouses, or retail outlets.
- Plan and coordinate the transportation and delivery of finished products, managing logistics providers and in-house teams for efficient delivery operations.
- Collaborate with the sales, customer service, and production teams to anticipate product demand and adjust distribution schedules accordingly.
- Optimize shipping methods and routes for cost efficiency while ensuring timely deliveries.
Required skills and qualifications:
- 3-7 years experience
- Strong organizational and planning skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Leadership and team management abilities
- Analytical skills to identify and resolve logistical issues
- Strong math skills
- Able to work independently with minimal supervision and supervise others' work
- Enforces safety guidelines and rules, adhere to all company policies
