Filterbuy, a leader in the air quality and manufacturing world, is seeking an experienced Production Supervisor to oversee and coordinate the manufacturing of goods. Ultimately, this position is responsible for the smooth running of all production lines and the quality of output.
We expect our Production Supervisor to have deep know-how in production procedures. The ability to direct employees towards maximum performance will set you apart as a leader. Decision-making and problem-solving will take up a great part of your day.
Our Production Supervisor will implement company processes, productivity, quality, and customer service standards and achieve the appropriate level of volume within time limits.
Ultimately, you should be able to ensure that daily operations meet and exceed daily performance expectations.
This role will report to the Production Manager in Ogden, UT. Monday through Thursday.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Verify specifications are met as work is being done. Complete hourly check-ins of all processes. Ensuring integrity and timeliness.
- Manage employee performance within the department. Communicate job expectations, responsibilities, and coach employees. Issue written and oral instructions, as needed.
- Ability to address employee complaints and concerns appropriately and timely. Involve senior leadership as needed.
- Ability to properly delegate when assigning employee workloads to meet specifications and deadlines. Evaluate regularly and adjust as needed.
- Motivate and guide employees. Promote a positive company culture.
- Communicate and coordinate activities with other departments.
- Assist in training new hires to company standards and review key policies/ procedures. Follow up to be sure they comprehend the instructions and teachings they’ve received.
- Monitor production to resolve issues.
- Check machines and equipment regularly. Notify the maintenance team of any problems.
- Provide on-the-job instruction to employees showing how to maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Be sure employees are safely operating all machines and using proper PPE.
- Be sure employees can perform other duties as assigned to stay productive.
Requirements
Required skills and qualifications:
- 1 years’ experience as a production/ manufacturing supervisor.
- Excellent verbal communication skills.
- Proven leadership and customer service skills.
- Excellent multitasking, time management, and organizational skills.
- Adherence to health and safety regulations (e.g. constant use of protective gear)
- Ability to read and write in English.
- Willing to perform repetitive tasks for extended periods.
- Analytical skills
- Attention to detail
- Teamwork and communication skills
- Physical stamina and strength (heavy lifting, pushing, and pulling)
- Bi-lingual Spanish is preferred but not required.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods working on feet, using tools, and performing repetitive actions that entail frequent bending, twisting, climbing, pivoting, and stooping.
- Frequently reach with hands and arms.
- Must be able to frequently lift and/or move up to 90 pounds at a time.
- Visual acuity to read instructions and inspect parts produced.
- The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
