Filterbuy, a leader in the air quality and manufacturing world, is seeking an experienced Shipping Supervisor to oversee and coordinate the daily shipping activities. 

The Shipping Supervisor will assist the Shipping Manager in the day-to-day operation of the shipping department, ensuring order accuracy and employee productivity. They will implement company processes, productivity, quality, and customer service standards and achieve the appropriate level of volume within time limits.

Ultimately, the supervisor should be able to ensure that daily operations meet and exceed daily performance expectations.

This role will report to the Shipping Manager at 846 W. 200 N., Ogden, UT 84404, Monday through Thursday. 

  Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Verify specifications are met as work is being done. Complete hourly check-ins of all processes. Ensuring integrity and timeliness of all data in our operating system. 
• Manage employee performance within the department. Communicate job expectations, responsibilities, and coach employees. Issue written and oral instructions, as needed.     
• Ability to address employee complaints and concerns appropriately and timely. Involve senior leadership as needed. 
• Ability to properly delegate when assigning employee workloads. Evaluate regularly and adjust as needed. 
• Motivate and guide employees. Promote a positive company culture. 
• Communicate and coordinate activities with other departments.
• Assist in training new hires to company standards and review key policies/ procedures. Follow-up to be sure they comprehend the instructions and teachings they’ve received. 
• Manage inventory control, as needed. 
• Support and provide feedback/ information to customer service, sales representatives, and plant leaders on status of SBA’s and work orders in a timely manner. 
• Schedule overnight & LTL Shipments with FedEx. Once scheduled, contact Ryder Freight for instructions. 
• Check machines and equipment regularly. Notify the maintenance team of any problems. 
• Provide on-the-job instruction to employees showing how to maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
• Ensure employees can perform other duties as assigned to stay productive. 
• A great floor supervisor spends most of their time on the floor with their employees motivating and assisting them. While working on the floor, supervisors must follow the same guidelines as their employees. Lead by example!  

Requirements

Required skills and qualifications:

• 2 years’ experience as a Shipping or Warehouse Supervisor.
• Forklift experience required and must be able to get forklift certified through Filterbuy, Inc. This requires a valid driver's license.
• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Proven leadership and customer service skills.
• Proven ability to direct and coordinate operations.
• Excellent multitasking, time management, and organizational skills.
• Adherence to health and safety regulations (e.g. constant use of protective gear)
• Ability to read and write in English.
• Willing to perform repetitive tasks for extended periods.
• Analytical skills
• Attention to detail
• Teamwork and communication skills
• Physical stamina and strength (heavy lifting, pushing, and pulling)
• Bi-lingual Spanish is preferred but not required. 

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods working on feet, using tools, and performing repetitive actions that entail frequent bending, twisting, climbing, pivoting, and stooping.
• Frequently reach with hands and arms.
• Must be able to frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds at a time.
• Visual acuity to read instructions and inspect parts produced.
• The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
