We are recruiting to fill the position below.
Role Summary
A material handler (Manufacturing) moves raw material to the production lines to be processed into sub-assemblies, moves sub-assemblies to the production line to be processed, move finished product and sub-assemblies back into inventory. This full-time position is available on site in Wilson, NC. Base pay depends on job-related skills, knowledge and experience, and the role is eligible for a comprehensive benefits package.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Loading and unloading inventory from warehouse to production areas.
- Managing inventory by identifying, cataloging, and recording the location of inventory.
- Operating various machinery including hand trucks and forklifts to handle materials and inventory.
- Complying with all safety and health regulations.
- Using RF Scanner.
- Breaking down and consolidating cardboard and moving into cardboard trailer.
- Restocking sub-assemblies into pickable locations.
- Makes decisions on the acceptability of product based on quality standards and practices.
Requirements
Qualifications and Skills
- High school diploma or GED.
- Experience in a production environment or warehouse preferred.
- Experience with fork trucks and hand trucks preferred.
- Must be detail-oriented
- Understanding of inventory processes
- Analytical and numerical skills: ability to perform mathematical calculations (add, subtract, multiply, divide) in different units of measurement
- Ability to follow written and oral instructions
- Ability to work in a team
- Ability to lift heavy equipment, to bend, and to stand or walk for long periods of time
Work Schedule:
Monday-Friday 7am-3:30pm
