What are the responsibilities and job description for the Machine Setup Operator position at Filtration Group Corp?
Overview
FG Clean Wipes located in the Westover Industrial Park in Chicopee is a World Wide Mfg company of Cleanroom wipes. We are seeking applicants with a textile background. Experience in textile cutting/spreading environment and/or experience operating slitter rewinders.
Role Purpose:
Operate equipment safely and efficiently to produce product that meets customer specifications in a timely manner. Other duties may be assigned as dictated by business needs.
Responsibilities
- Sets up and runs high volume manufacturing equipment
- Make major adjustments/changes to machine during production runs to maintain quality
- Diagnoses and repairs minor machine issues
- Inspects and completes quality documentation for first piece sign off
- Leads and directs small production teams
- Takes general direction from supervisor or department manager
- Can make decisions on own
Other duties and tasks as assigned by your manager/supervisor based on business need
Qualifications
- Communication skills- Able to listen and converse with all coworkers
- Ability to read and interpret work orders and perform basic math
- Able to be on your feet for entire shift with occasional twisting, bending or lifting a weight of up to 40 lbs.
