Position Overview:
As a Warehouse Associate, you will play a key role in the day-to-day operations of our warehouse facility. Your responsibilities will include receiving, storing, and distributing laboratory supplies, as well as maintaining accurate inventory records. The ideal candidate should have strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Inventory Management:
- Receive, inspect, and accurately record incoming shipments of laboratory supplies.
- Organize and maintain inventory to ensure efficient storage and retrieval.
- Conduct regular cycle counts and assist in periodic physical inventory audits.
Order Fulfillment:
- Pick and pack orders accurately and efficiently based on customer requirements.
- Prepare shipments for delivery, ensuring proper documentation and labeling.
Shipping and Receiving:
- Coordinate with carriers and freight companies for incoming and outgoing shipments.
- Verify shipping documents and resolve discrepancies with suppliers or carriers.
Quality Control:
- Inspect products for damages, defects, or discrepancies and report any issues to the supervisor.
- Ensure that all items meet quality standards before shipment.
Data Entry:
- Input data into the warehouse management system (WMS) accurately and in a timely manner.
- Generate shipping labels, packing slips, and other documentation as needed.
Safety and Compliance:
- Adhere to safety guidelines and protocols to maintain a safe working environment.
- Comply with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Equipment Operation:
- Safely operate warehouse equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks, following proper procedures and maintenance schedules.
Team Collaboration:
- Work collaboratively with other warehouse associates, as well as cross-functional teams, to achieve common goals.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in warehouse operations or a similar role is preferred.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50lbs) and stand for extended periods is required.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) is a plus.
- Forklift certification is a plus.
- Basic computer skills for data entry and record-keeping.
