Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Medical Scribe to join our healthcare team. This position requires a strong understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology, as well as excellent typing skills to ensure precise and timely documentation of medical records.
Responsibilities
- Transcribe physician-patient interactions in real-time during examinations and consultations.
- Document medical histories, physical exams, and other relevant information in electronic health records (EHR) systems.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical documentation to support patient care and treatment plans.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive documentation of patient encounters.
- Assist in managing medical records and ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Stay informed about medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology to accurately capture clinical information.
- Support the medical office by performing additional administrative tasks as needed.
Requirements
- Proficient typing skills with the ability to transcribe quickly and accurately.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology is essential.
- Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and medical documentation practices.
- Previous experience in a medical office is preferred but not required.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy in documentation.
- Excellent communication skills to interact with healthcare providers and patients professionally.
