What are the responsibilities and job description for the PARTS PICKER I position at Fimco Industries?
Order Picker Summary:
Perform the essential day-to-day functions in the parts room necessary to get parts shipped to the correct location in a safe, timely and efficient manner.
Order Picker Essential Duties and/or Responsibilities:
- Pick, pack, and ship parts, prepare and process all related paperwork, and operate computerized shipping/labeling machine.
- Count, stock, and reset inventory.
- Load and unload trucks.
- Perform receiving functions.
- Clean and maintain work area.
- Other duties as assigned.
Order Picker Education and/or Experience:
- High School Diploma, GED or High School Equivalence Certificate;
- 1 year of experience in a shipping and/or distribution environment
- 1 year of experience with computers or computerized inventory systems preferred
Order Picker Other Skills and Abilities:
- Ability to work under pressure, at a fast and accurate pace.
- Ability to follow instructions, maintain focus, and keep work area organized.
- Demonstrate reliability and responsibility at all times.
- Possess a positive attitude and conduct yourself appropriately.
- Physical bending, lifting (50 lbs.), pushing/pulling (75 lbs.), and turning; withstanding long periods of time on the shop floor; and tolerating elevated temperatures, dust, and noise levels.
