Meat Plant Manager

Overview
The Manager plays a crucial role in overseeing the operations of the meat meat within a food processing environment. This position is responsible for ensuring high standards of quality, safety, and sanitation while managing the fabrication, packaging, and presentation of meat products. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a deep understanding of meat cutting techniques, food safety regulations, and operational efficiency.

Duties

• Supervise daily operations of the meat department, ensuring compliance with company policies and health regulations.
• Fabricate and cut various types of meat products according to customer specifications and company standards.
• Package meat products efficiently while maintaining quality and freshness.
• Train and mentor staff in meat cutting techniques, sanitation practices, and customer service.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the meat department to meet sanitation standards.
• Collaborate with customers to ensure the procurement of livestock.
• Monitor inventory levels and assist in ordering supplies as needed.

Skills

• Experience in the people management.
• Proficiency in meat cutting techniques is a plus but not required. We will train.
• Ability to troubleshoot basic mechanical issues on plant machinery, (we train)
• Ability to effectively use knives and other tools for meat fabrication, (we train)
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in packaging and presentation are a must.
• Excellent communication skills for training staff and interacting with customers.
• Commitment to maintaining a clean and sanitized work environment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Day shift
• Monday to Friday
• No weekends
