Purpose of Role:
Responsible for contributing to the operational success of the Company by evaluating and implementing improvements in processes and controls in the mortgage loan operations function to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations and Company policies.
Expectations:
- Analyzes, identifies, and resolves or further escalates operational issues affecting compliance with internal policies, guidelines, and legal and regulatory requirements.
- Reviews and resolves compliance related issues on a loan-by-loan basis (e.g. loan level issues and loan documents, systems, controls, etc.).
- Analyzes data to provide clear and accurate feedback to management to assist with resolving identified irregularities.
- Monitors operational reports to identify systemic quality issues that may impact compliance with regulatory requirements and Company policies.
- Remains abreast of lending industry trends, products, best practices, technologies, legal and regulatory requirements, and competitive landscape to modify strategic and operational plans and update applicable policies and procedures.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS - EXPERIENCE/SKILLS/COMPETENCIES
- Minimum of 5 years in a compliance related role with a well developed expertise in RESPA, TILA, TCPA, FCRA, ECOA, MAPS, CFPA, AML/BSA, Fair Lending, and state mortgage regulations.
- Minimum of 2 years of related experience in reverse mortgage lending and FHA.
- Recent experience in reverse mortgage marketing experiences including digital strategies in FinTech space.
- Experience with mortgage lending and servicing operations and industry standard Risk Governance programs.
- Experience utilizing data analytics.
- Experience designing policies, procedures, process maps and control assessments.
- Experience providing internal and external customer service excellence.
- Interpersonal, oral, and written communication, and presentation skills.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills with a customer service orientation.
- Organizational, prioritization, and time management skills with attention to detail to work in a fast paced environment under time constraints.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite.
Compensation
The base salary range for this position is ($75,000 - $110,000) inclusive of all geographical differences in the labor market. The base salary for the position will be determined based on factors such as the candidate’s work location, skills, education, and experience. In addition to those factors, we believe in the importance of pay equity and consider the internal equity of our current team members in determining any final offer.
