Employment Terms: This job is a full-time benefited FLSA Exempt position in the Student Affairs Division that reports to the Financial Aid Manager.
Salary: $44,370 - $48,880/yr commensurate with education and experience
Schedule: Monday – Thursday, 8:30a -5:30pm, Friday 8:00am-4:00pm occasional Saturdays and Evenings. Flexibility is a must.
Minimum Qualifications (Job Code 11127 Category 1): High school diploma or equivalent *and* one (1) year of work-related experience or Microsoft Office Application Professional Certificate*and* One (1) year of related experience.
Preferred Qualifications: An Associate’s degree from an accredited college or university, with emphasis in business, education, or a related field *and* a minimum of three (3) years of work experience in education, business or a related industry. (Related work experience may be substituted for the degree on a year-for-year basis.) Preference will be given to applicants with experience working with the BANNER Student Information System and/or two or more years of direct financial aid experience. Also, experience with federal regulations. Direct Loans and verification will be preferred
Job Description Summary:
The Financial Aid Specialist provides information and support to prospective and enrolled students regarding state and federal financial aid programs. This role supports and facilitates financial aid processes, maintains accurate student financial aid records, and ensures compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
