What are the responsibilities and job description for the Internal Operations Coordinator position at Financial Center First Credit Union?
PURPOSE: The primary purpose of this position is to fulfill Financial Center First CU’s vision of inspiring financial wellness. The position must deliver high quality service to both internal and external members by supporting and promoting our values to Care, Listen, Learn, Solve, and Act.
The Internal Operations Coordinator assists the Card Services and Support Services team in the research, planning and implementation of special projects within the departments. They support our merger members through the transition of ACH and check services. The Internal Operations Coordinator will also serve as a backup to the processes within the Card Services department.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- Deliver the exceptional member experience during all interactions with potential members, members, coworkers, internal members and vendors
- Assists in the research, planning and implementation of special projects within the Card Services and Support Services departments
- Performs data validation and cleanup for the card portfolios and ACH services
- Supports members from mergers in the successful transition of ACH transactions and check services or other related transaction activities
- Creates and Maintains procedures for Department
- Participates in annual ACH Audit, Department Risk Assessments, Policy Updates
- Assists with the Annual Unclaimed Property process
- Serves as a back up to Debit Dispute Processing, Credit Card Processes and ITM Balancing
- Performs other duties as assigned
- High School graduate or equivalent; Two-year college degree or completion of specialized course of study at a business or trade school in the areas of business or finance preferred.
- Experience with Credit Union (Financial Institution) member account processing, three to five years preferred.
- Prior supervisory or experience managing projects is preferred
- Experience working with Microsoft office applications; Must become proficient in working with Excel spreadsheets
- Must have the ability to work accurately, detailed and neatly with figures and produce work in a timely manner.
- Must become proficient in the use of our credit union computer system or personal computer, computer-generated reports, calculator and other standard office equipment
- Must be analytical and have the ability to solve various routine account problems
- Must have excellent verbal and written communications skills
- Must possess a basic knowledge of all our credit union products and services
- Must be able to maintain strict confidentiality of information
- Must be detail oriented and able to meet strict monthly deadlines
- AAP Certification as plus
