Position Overview:
The IT Specialist I is responsible for supporting the preparation, review, and generation of digitally printed materials to fulfill customer orders. The candidate will work with various software products and printing equipment to ensure smooth, error-free production. This role requires a strong understanding of file optimization, troubleshooting, and preparing jobs for printing while maintaining the highest standards of quality control.
Key Responsibilities:
- Data Optimization: Optimize customer data files to ensure error-free variable printing.
- Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve issues with files to prevent production delays.
- File Repair: Correct file issues (e.g., color corrections, imposition handling) to ensure print readiness.
- Job Programming: Program and prepare printing jobs using software applications including HTML, PSL, Adobe, Fusion Pro, BCC Mail Manager, C , SQL, and Microsoft Office.
- Quality Control: Adhere to strict quality control guidelines throughout the preparation and printing process to ensure optimal results.
- Collaboration: Work with internal teams and customers to meet specific print requirements and expectations.
Requirements:
- Technical Expertise: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to analyze and preflight client files, identifying issues before printing.
- Data Manipulation: Ability to manipulate customer data to meet specific print specifications.
- Independent & Collaborative: Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively in a team environment.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in PC/MAC environments with expertise in Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Creative Suite, and printing software.
- Industry Experience (Preferred): Previous experience in the digital/print industry is highly preferred.
