Enforcement Communications is responsible for planning and implementing communications strategies that advance Enforcement’s business goals and culture. The Senior Communications Specialist, Enforcement Communications works with Enforcement’s Strategic Planning, Program Risk and Operations team on a broad range of strategic communications initiatives for both internal and external audiences. The individual in this role provides strong writing and editing skills with attention to detail; and will quickly and accurately get to the heart of complex topics in order to distill the information for a broad audience.Essential Job Functions : Collaborate with the Director, Enforcement Communications, Enforcement’s business units and other members of the Strategic Planning, Program Risk and Operations team to implement communications strategies and tactics based on Enforcement’s goals and objectives and communications best practices.  Develop, write, and edit a broad range of key content, including talking points for department leadership, presentations for internal and external use, press releases, internal newsletters, web updates and other written communications.Create and edit content for Enforcement’s intranet site. Partner with the technology team to manage the site so it remains an effective tool for staff.Manage a weekly, internal email newsletter, including editing and writing on deadline.Plan and implement communications strategics and tactics for Enforcement initiatives, events and software releases.Assist in the development and maintenance of the departmental talking points library.Ensure consistency in style, grammar, clarity, and accuracy of all content.Develop and maintain analytics reports and make recommendations for continuous improvements.Education / Experience Requirements : Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of five years of relevant experience in journalism, communications, legal writing or related field.Knowledge of the financial industry and / or regulatory agencies highly preferred.Demonstrated copy editing, writing for news or other professional publications, and / or executive communications experience preferred.Demonstrated ability to translate complex concepts into clear, concise communications for both internal and external audiences.Excellent verbal and written communications skills, with a strong attention to detail.Ability to respond to and work with senior stakeholders both inside and outside the organization in a timely, professional manner.Strong organizational and project management skills and proven ability to prioritize effectively, manage competing priorities simultaneously, and meet deadlines for a wide variety of high-visibility assignments.Familiarity with content management systems and processes and a basic understanding of web information architecture preferred.Ability to work both independently and within a team environment.Ability to exercise careful judgment and discretion with respect to strategic and confidential material.Working Conditions : Normal hybrid office environment.Highly dynamic, fast-paced environment, with staff managing multiple, high-visibility priorities.Some travel and extended hours as needed.For work that is performed in CA, CO, HI, MN, VT, IL, Jersey City, NJ, New York City, NY, MA, WA, MD, Washington, DC, NJ State and NY State, please refer to the chart below for the salary range for the corresponding location.
