Financial Intelligence (FI) specializes in the development of financial software specifically designed for county governments in Arkansas and Texas. Governmental accounting is unique, and FI is experiencing tremendous growth opportunities in Texas after the acquisition of a previous competitor in our marketplace. Our software solutions provide market-leading payroll, accounts payable, general ledger, budgeting, financial management, and fixed asset applications to the small-to-mid-size local government market in Texas and Arkansas.
As a financial software installer / trainer with FI, you’ll manage new client implementations, support training needs, and oversee the full lifecycle of software deployment in a dynamic, customer-focused role.
This position successfully manages the implementation of FI’s governmental accounting software for new and existing clients, from the contract signing through formal transition to the support phase, on time and within budget.
Location
Training will be in our Little Rock, Arkansas office. After training, significant travel will be required in Texas to participate with the installation and training of new county government customers.

Candidates would begin as a subject matter expert in FI’s county government financial software through an immersive training program. With time, you’ll transition to leading software installations and providing training across Texas, supported by senior project managers. When not involved with new customer installations in Texas, the candidate would provide remote support to our customers, share new software ideas with our software development team, and test new software features prior to them being provided to our customers.
Responsibilities
· We believe the best way to learn the work we do is by doing the work we do through hands-on training and mentorship. You will therefore, master FI’s financial software by working directly with senior project leaders in Little Rock, Arkansas.
· Lead implementation projects alongside a senior project leader in Texas, managing client relationships and ensuring all setup and training milestones are met.
· Collaborate across teams to create project timelines, track key dates, and provide continuous client feedback for improvements.
· Ensure smooth transitions from project implementation to support, facilitating post-installation client meetings and follow-ups.
· Anticipate, identify, and resolve roadblocks, such as hardware, software, or networking incompatibilities and unresponsive third-party vendors or clients.
- Communicate completion of milestones to clients and secure formal acceptance from them.
- Upon project completion, conduct meetings with clients to ensure a smooth transition of services from implementation to support phase.
- Identify add-on sales opportunities and manage contract addendum and purchase orders.
- Travel to client site as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Technical or bachelor’s degree preferred but not required.
- Accounting experience or experience with local government is a plus but is not required.
- Previous experience with customer support and product training.
- Excellent planning, organizational skills and ability to follow-through until process are completed.
- Exceptional customer service skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to articulate technical and non-technical information to various audiences including management.
- Strong decision making and problem-solving skills.
- Strong analytical ability.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize and complete multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain a positive, professional attitude.
- Strong negotiation, conflict resolution, and persuasion skills.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Ability to travel in Texas (estimated up to 50% of your time annually after the initial six (6) months of training).
