Financial Resources Federal Credit Union (FRFCU) is looking for energetic, AVP – Branch Manager (Somerset Branch) to join our team in putting members first and making a difference in peoples’ lives! We are seeking banking professionals with management experience with a passion for client servicing and experienced in acquiring, retaining and expanding banking relationships of our members while demonstrating the FRFCU culture! We would prefer if you spoke Spanish too but it's not required.

Some of your essential duties will include, but are not limited to :
Manage the work of the branch staff and ensure adherence to quality standards, deadlines, and proper procedures.Provide employees with guidance in handling difficult or complex problems or in resolving escalated complaints or disputes, addressing member issues within 24 hours.Develop and expand existing relationships with individuals and SEGs.Prospect for new business relationships by conducting business development calls within the assigned market.Open accounts; accept consumer loan applications, real estate secured loan applications only if registered as a Mortgage Loan Originator (MLO), and conduct loan closings.Organize and Participate in member business banking days, blitzes, table events, etc.Achieve branch sales and service goals by utilizing and ensuring staff uses effective sales practices to sell credit union products, implementing effective member service techniques, referring members to appropriate business partners.Create branch sales plans and lead sales activities, attendance at monthly meetings, cold calling, promotional events, branch huddles, and daily sales coaching.Develop a team of high-performing sales and service team members by participating in the hiring, coaching and performance management processes. Inform team members of key organization strategies and initiatives.Cultivate and maintain successful SEG relationships including interaction with company liaisons to ensure the Credit Union’s presence and recognition within the community in which it operates.Promote the Credit Union’s community brand by membership in local organizations. Maintain a strong presence in the local community by participating in community events, initiatives, and volunteerism.Maintain technical and professional knowledge by attending training, obtaining relevant professional certifications, reviewing professional publications and books, participating in professional associations, and staying informed of any legal, policy and procedural changes relating to banking, sales, and customer service.Keep informed of industry changes, trends, and best practices. Identify the development needs of staff members; provide coaching and training to help staff members improve their knowledge, skills, and job proficiencyEvaluate staff members’ job performance, including personal, interpersonal, and technical knowledge, skills, abilities, on a regular basis as determined by company procedures, and recommend appropriate actions. Complete annual and mid -year performance appraisals.Discuss job performance problems with staff members to identify causes and issues and to work on resolving problems. Recommend disciplinary action and / or termination for specialists who are underperforming or are in violation of established policy and procedures.
