Job Description
Join our team as a Collections Manager, leading a high-performing team responsible for servicing members with past-due consumer and residential loans. This role requires exceptional leadership, risk management, and problem-solving abilities, along with expertise in late-stage collections, skip tracing, bankruptcies, and repossessions.
Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership:
- Develop and manage a cohesive, high-performing team.
- Set department goals and ensure accountability through performance management.
- Foster employee engagement through training and incentive programs.
Collections Operations:
- Implement strategies and processes for effective collections management.
- Leverage advanced technology, including AI and automation, to improve efficiency.
- Oversee asset recovery, legal processing, and compliance with FDCPA.
- Provide data analysis and reporting to guide decision-making and achieve goals.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Work with Lending, Risk, Legal, and Technology teams to align strategies.
- Maintain effective communication and cooperation across departments.
- Deliver regular updates and insights to senior leadership.
Future-Focused Innovation:
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to drive innovation.
- Use a mix of human resources and technology to enhance member service and operational efficiency.
Performance Expectations
- Achieve acceptable delinquency and loan loss ratios.
- Foster accountability and role clarity within the team.
- Encourage innovation by inspiring curiosity and promoting problem-solving.
Qualifications
- Experience:
- 5 years in financial services, with 2 years in leadership roles in a credit union or bank.
- Proven expertise in collections, sales, and digital strategies.
- Skills:
- Strong interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in Excel, CRM systems, and predictive modeling tools (e.g., Python, R, SAS).
- Familiarity with collections technology, including AI-driven tools and automation systems.

Compensation: $75-80K annually
