SKILLS

EXPERIENCE

· 5 years in Credit Union member development, recruitment, marketing, and bank retail services
· 3 years of supervisory experience

ROLE: Branch Manager will drive branch towards strong economic performance including achieving branch goals and budgets. The manager will lead by example in delivering outstanding member service, opening new accounts, originating, and processing loans, and supporting in the teller service areas as needed. Ensure members leave feeling they are our number one priority. Treating all internal and external members with respect and courtesy. Leads Member Service and Teller Team. Work within assigned credit authority to approve or deny loans as directed by credit union policy and procedures.

EXPECTATIONS:
1. Branch operations
a. Develop branch level production goals in conjunction with branch level budget.
b. Develop branch level operating plans along with managing operating hours and effective staffing levels to deliver exceptional member service.
c. Oversee the achievement of goals, budget, and operating plans for branch, including personal contributions to sales goals and activities.
d. Ensure adherence to operational policies, procedures, and controls.
e. Develop and execute actions to improve operational policies and procedures while controlling and mitigating losses.
f. Support of Financial Education courses
2. Sales and Business Development
a. Implement and maintain a comprehensive, results-oriented sales and business development plan to build credit union membership, and to cross sell credit union products and services. The targeted strategies of the plan will reach a broad range of clients
b. Support the development, planning and implementation of community events, targeted promotional events, and tabling opportunities.
c. Develop and leverage strategic partnerships with key organizations and represent Finanta Credit Union in public forums and presentations.
d. Coordinate with marketing department to support the objectives of the credit union business development plan and align with brand messaging.
e. Conduct meetings with referral sources, centers of influence, market employers and community partners to build credit union membership and meet established new member goals.
f. Track data on membership to meet credit union metrics and reporting requirements.
3. Oversee the physical facilities and equipment of the branch
a. Assure a safe, secure, and clean facility.
b. Work with identified vendors to maintain the physical facility and equipment.
c. Oversee facility modification or expansion.
4. Credit Authority
a. Understand and remain current on rules and regulations covering credit union lending.
b. Work within assigned credit authority to approve or deny loans.
c. Recommend changes and improvements to the policy governing credit authority.
5. Leadership and management
- Provides day to day supervision, training, and evaluation to members of the credit union team.
- Ensures all staff are adequately trained to perform requisite duties.
- Provides inspirational leadership consistent with our mission.
- Adheres to supervisory requirements including recruitment, coaching, and other policy oversight.
- Provide coverage for staff as directed.
- Participates in strategic planning efforts.
6. Individual, Team & Company Participation
- Quarterly Coaching Sessions and Annual Performance Plan
- Department Meetings
- Provide coverage for the Credit Union as directed
- Opportunities Meeting, Company Progress Report
- Participate in training, assessments and surveys as directed
