What are the responsibilities and job description for the FINstarter Rotational Graduate Program - Finance position at Finastra?
We are looking for talented and ambitious individuals to join our Finance rotational development program, titled FINstarter Program. Our 2-year training and development program will equip you with the knowledge and skills to take on real responsibility in our demanding environment, allowing you to grow your skillset and Finastra’s business objectives at the same time. Here’s what you can expect:
An introduction to Finastra that will provide an overview of the structure of our company, the way we do things and many of the people you’ll be working with.
Exposure across multiple areas of Finance and Accounting
On the job activities that include comprehensive role-specific training as well as the development of your ‘soft’ skills.
Exposure to the main business functions associated with your role, including rotations to various functions within Finastra's Finance function to gain an understanding of the business as a whole. Rotations may include will begin in Product & Technology Finance, Sales Finance, Financial Planning & Analysis, Accounting, Accounts Payable/Receivable, or Procurement.
What will you contribute?
Build financial models, run scenario analysis and provide data analytics to identify areas of risk and opportunity within the business
Prepare financial reporting for weekly, monthly or quarterly close requirements with analysis of key drivers, providing business performance assessment and ideas for improvements
Leverage data to summarize, analyze and recommend in order to influence decision making
Continuous process improvement, leverage market best practices, standardization and automation
Engage with business partners, both within Finance as well as other areas of the organization, collaborating to achieve shared goals and objectives
Complete special projects that will be presented to executive leadership
Required Skills and Experience:
Experience
BBA or equivalent in Finance or Accounting with a minimum 3.5 GPA and anticipated graduation of May 2021
Interest in software / technology sector
Good mathematical and PC skills, Excel proficiency
Prior internships or experience working in an office environment preferred
Competencies
