What are the responsibilities and job description for the Power Plant Team Leader position at FINCH PAPER LLC?
Responsible for the overall safe and efficient operation and performance of the shift. Demonstrated technical understanding of Power, Recovery and Energy along with demonstrated operational experience with plant equipment and operational systems strongly preferred. Essential functions include but are not limited to providing leadership and guidance to crew members while promoting employee involvement and participation in problem solving and continuous improvement; actively support and promote all Mill initiatives including safety, environmental, quality, productivity and cost management; detailed knowledge in Power Plant operations strongly desired. Additionally, continually evaluate, monitor and manage plans to improve capabilities and yield. Actively collaborate with other Supervisory personnel to resolve reliability and operational issues. Candidates should possess a strong mechanical aptitude. Mathematical proficiency, troubleshooting, computerization skills, along with critical thinking and problem solving skills are a must. Availability to work rotating overnight shifts in a 24/7 manufacturing environment required. Ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline and 3 years of experience in an Industrial Engineering/Manufacturing environment, preferably in the Pulp and Paper Industry. High School Diploma or GED with equivalent work experience considered.
