Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Equipment Mechanic to join our team as a Heavy Equipment Technician. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in diagnosing and repairing complex equipment, as well as performing scheduled maintenance tasks.
The successful applicant will be responsible for:
- Performing diagnostics and repairs on John Deere equipment
- Performing scheduled maintenance tasks
- Overhauling and testing major components
- Completing documentation of diagnostics and repairs performed on work orders
- Consulting equipment operating manuals, schematics, and drawings
- Diagnosing and identifying malfunctions
- Inspecting, repairing, and replacing defective or worn-out parts
- Operating and maintaining vehicles, tools, and equipment
Requirements
- Strong technical knowledge and skills in heavy equipment repair and maintenance
- Ability to lift items weighing 50 pounds
- Ability to stand on concrete for long periods of time
- Ability to walk, climb, stand, carry materials, stoop, kneel, and bend at the waist
- Ability to work in varying shop temperatures and shop noise
